Who we are

Underfoot began life as a long ginger cat, whose slinky memory lingered as the inspiration for a record label. Based in Sydney, Underfoot Records is now an independent Australian record label with a focus on original music, and developing song writers. We have a management team of three, and an artistic team of many.

We are a family company, in the broader sense. Family includes the talented work of friends and associates who have become friends. It includes musicians, songwriters, multimedia artists, designers, actors, producers and photographers... individuals whose way of doing business is independent and yet thoroughly professional. Through Underfoot, their talents are combined on a project basis to produce and release music, videos, films, websites and product.

We’re a community really, but don’t be scared away... we don’t actually worship the ginger cat, but we do believe in what we do.
